Environment Options - Text Editor Section

This topic describes section of Environment Options dialog box window named "Text Editor".

This option section contains text editor options.

Word Wrap
-> Word wrap enabled by default
                Specifies that Word Wrap feature should be active if not changed by the user.
     
-> Remember per file extension
                Specifies that Word Wrap feature "active" mark should be stored for each type of file separately.

-> Show on gutter
                If active, text editor gutter displays a special indicator for each wrapped line.
     
Text Flow Control

-> Stored with file
                Specifies that text flow mode should be stored inside Info file, if this file is stored.

-> Vert. scrollbar on left for RTL
                Specifies that vertical scrollbar should appear on the left side of text editor when right-to-left text flow mode is active. If this option is inactive, scrollbar appears on the right side in RTL mode.
     
Text Flow Selection

-> Use default text rules
                Specifies that text flow mode is defined using Default Text Properties options.

-> Remember per file extension
                Specifies that text flow mode is selected by the user manually for each file type.

Status Bar

-> Unic. char always as UTF-16
                If active, Unicode characters in status bar are always presented as UTF-16 value, otherwise characters are presented as several byte values (up to 6 bytes).

Smart Keys
Options from this group modify behavior of several keys like  Home, End, Backspace, Tab. If option is set, action executed after key press is different than in other editors, but optimized for easy navigation through text.

Other Edit Options

-> Undo after save
                Specifies that UNDO command should be working after "Save" command execution. For performance reasons this option should be disabled.

-> Trim trailing blanks
                Removes all trailing white characters during Save operation.

-> Use tab character
                Inserts tab character (0x09) after TAB key press. When disabled, a block of spaces is inserted instead of tab characters.
