Womier SK80 Pro Keyboard Review

Womier SK80 Pro is an 83-key mechanical keyboard that targets users who want a compact layout with wireless flexibility and a strong visual identity. What sets it apart is the themed design combined with a small built-in screen, something you still do not see often in this price range – which is around $79.99.

This review is based on the SK80 Pro Kanagawa version which I liked the look of the most. The box is unusually full: aside from the keyboard, you get a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 2.4 GHz dongle, a keycap and switch puller, spare switches, extra replacement keycaps, a wrist rest, and even a mousepad. Some of this is clearly there for looks, but the wrist rest is soft, stable, and honestly very decent. The extra keycaps are practical if you want to swap out the more decorative ones. Mousepad it more for aesthetics, it’s tiny.

The SK80 Pro uses Womier POM pre-lubed linear switches and supports both 3-pin and 5-pin hotswap. In everyday use, the switches feel smooth and consistent, with no obvious scratchiness and a light, easy press that works well for typing and casual gaming. The gasket mount helps soften bottom-out and keeps the keyboard from sounding harsh, although the ABS case limits how deep and dense the sound can get. It sounds clean and controlled, just not especially “thocky.”

Keycaps are cherry profile, double-shot PBT, with a slightly textured feel and solid legends. The south-facing RGB is bright and evenly diffused, and the artwork keycaps let light through in a way that actually looks intentional, not messy. The angled screen in the top-right corner is mostly decorative, but it fits the design and is easy to glance at.

Connectivity is tri-mode: wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz wireless, controlled by physical switches on the back. In real use, 2.4 GHz feels stable with no noticeable lag, while Bluetooth is fine for work across multiple devices. The 4000 mAh battery lasts several days with RGB on. The USB-C port is recessed, but the side cable routing is a nice touch if you use coiled or angled cables.

Compared to similarly priced keyboards the SK80 Pro feels less focused on raw materials and more on presentation. Those keyboards might have sturdier cases and a more neutral look, but they do not offer the same level of visual character or bundled extras at a similar price.

The software is a slight con for me. It’s a standalone exe driver (Womier SK80 PRO Driver-1.0.0.0) and the looks are a bit offputting. It covers the basic features: key remapping, macros, RGB control, and screen customization. It works without issues, but the interface is raw and not especially polished. It is functional, not a selling point.

The in-built screen in the right corner is a cool little feature, in the software you can import a GIF and upload the animation or input a static text. Uploading takes a while.

Comfort over longer sessions is good. The layout is compact but usable, the typing angle is reasonable – with typical but good adjustable feet, and the included wrist rest helps reduce fatigue. At 793 g, the keyboard stays in place without feeling heavy.

Recommendation: The Womier SK80 Pro makes sense for users who want a keyboard that looks different but still feels solid in daily use. It is a good fit if you value design, wireless flexibility, and a complete out-of-box package. If you care more about premium materials or a minimal, understated look, there are better options elsewhere.
