Flydigi’s flagship controller, Apex 5 Elite was leaked due to FCC submission. Hopefully the button and sticks latency is better this time comparing it to Apex 4. Let’s see what we know now about Apex 5 Elite.

Edit June 10th: it’s now available for pre order for $169.99 on minixpc. AliExpress listing should come this month.

Apex 5 Elite Features

  • force adjustable joysticks
  • force feedback triggers
  • two extra shoulder buttons
  • new design of four back buttons
  • detachable D-pad
  • adjustable RGB lighting
  • replaceable light panels
  • NearLink (2000Hz polling rate?)
  • 1.3 inch color interactive screen
  • detachable top cover
  • XInput/DInput and dongle/cable/BT for PC
  • Bluetooth for Switch, Android and iOS
  • 1500mAh battery with 3-4 hrs charging time
  • Bluetooth 5.0

Still no trigger lock, D-pad is new, back buttons are different vs Apex 4. Seems more of an evolution than revolution. This article will be updated when new info comes out. When will it be released? Probably later this year.

Our source tells us it might be priced lower than Apex 4.
