A few weeks after a leak of Flydigi Vader 5S Flydigi now showed the Vader 5 Pro controller on TGS 2025. Vader 4 Pro was an excellent controller, so there’s much hype with the next edition. What do we know?
Update: 09.11.2025. Flydigi Vader 5 Pro is now available for purchase on Aliexpress and on MiniXPC. Amazon will come later. Flydigi also dropped a new promo trailer. And our review of Vader 5 Pro is now out.
The Flydigi Vader 5 Pro continues the design language of last year’s Vader 4 Pro, retaining the characteristic layout with C and Z buttons alongside the standard ABXY cluster. The asymmetrical, force-adjustable Hall-effect thumbsticks remain a core element, but the new model introduces several mechanical refinements that separate it from its predecessor.
Updated Triggers With New Lever-Transmission Mechanism
While the Vader 4 Pro already supported fast trigger actuation, Flydigi has revised the system for the Vader 5 Pro. The controller now uses a new lever-transmission spring mechanism, designed to improve responsiveness and consistency when switching between linear and micro-switch trigger modes.
Flydigi states that this update enhances the overall feel and delivers more controlled trigger feedback.
Additional Shoulder Buttons and Detachable Rear Paddles
The Vader 5 Pro adds LM and RM shoulder buttons, expanding input options beyond what the Vader 4 Pro offered.
The M3 and M4 back paddles are now detachable, similar to the design approach used in the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. This allows players to remove unused paddles or customize the controller’s ergonomics more freely.
D-Pad, Grip, and Build Refinements
The D-pad has been redesigned for improved accuracy and reduced cross-triggering. The unit also incorporates a slip-resistant rubber grip, which addresses one of the more common complaints about the Vader 4 Pro’s smooth shell.
Flydigi’s product materials confirm that the Vader 5 Pro includes a new charging dock, which appears to be the same unit previously referenced with the optional RGB pixel display.
Connectivity and Latency
The manufacturer now claims 4ms wireless latency, improving on the older model and positioning the Vader 5 Pro competitively within the sub-5 ms controller segment.
The controller maintains support for wired USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless, ensuring compatibility with Windows 10/11, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.

I like the changes, I just hope the latency is good.
