KICA Jet Fan Max & 2S Review

I’ve been sent two air blowers from Feiyu Tech store for a review and these are:

Here’s my impressions and review of them. The fact I got them for review doesn’t change my unbiased approach for a review.

These are two pretty powerful tools. The Jet Fan Max has a 24000mAh battery and up to 785W power. And the Jet Fan 2S is a much more portable one with wind speed of 140W and 27.5m/s output (about 1/3 of the Max version) and a 1100mAh battery.

I have tested them in various ways, mostly for cleaning my keyboards, inside of the PC and some electronics from dust. One of the unusual ways I have found them useful is to clean an inside of the heater – it blows all of the dust very nicely, but it’s good to have a vacuum cleaner at hand to get all of that dust contained.

A nice alternative to canned air for electronics

So these work really nicely for cleaning your electronics. The Jet Fan 2S is definitely good enough in terms of power to handle cleaning of a keyboard or an inside of a PC.

Also, when I researched these online I found that there’s also a Jet Fan 2 (without the S) and the S version seems to be a tiny upgrade from its predecessor, it supports turbo speed, has 27.5m/s instead of 22m/s max wind speed, better airflow, wind pressure and thrust.

KICA Jet Fan Max

This is the very powerful one. The build quality is really solid, it weights really heavy, probably thanks to it’s huge 24000mAh battery which can be accessed from the bottom and ejected out.

It’s also really loud even at half power and at full power I think it’s about 90dB. Battery life ranges from 5 to 8 minutes on turbo mode to 25+ minutes at lower speeds, and it recharges in a couple of hours via USB-C. While a second battery isn’t readily available, the removable battery is a plus.

I even tried it for tasks like car drying and it worked for that. It’s powerful for short bursts, but noisy, especially at high speeds.

It also comes with a vacuum option thanks to the extensions included in the package. You have to attach the vacuum extension to the other side of the blower. The vacuum function is effective, and the filter is fairly easy to clean (though a brush isn’t included).

It’s lightweight enough for single-handed use, but the powerful fan creates noticeable wrist strain. The usage is pretty straightforward – hold the power button to turn on, adjust the speed slider, and use the turbo button for maximum power.

This tool kicks back a lot (it has recoil), especially when it’s turned up high. Be careful how you hold it. The buttons are all on the front, which can be a bit annoying.

KICA Jet Fan 2S

Now onto the KICA Jet Fan 2S. This is much more portable air blower and it feels so much nicer when using handheld for longer periods of time. It’s pretty enough in terms of power for dusting off keyboard and a PC.

KICA Jet Fan 2S 10

It has adjustable speed slider plus a boost button, and the battery lasts a decent amount of time, though it drains quickly on boost. It recharges in about an hour. It comes with two nozzle attachments and a third one for inflating mattresses I think? Haven’t used that one. The two nozzles work fine, but honestly I prefer using it without them.

The build quality is again very solid it feels quite premium due to its weight. If you are looking for a replacement to canned air this is definitely a nice tool. I wish it has a removeable battery.

One thing to remember: keep it away from people with long hair. I learned this the hard way when some hair got caught in the fan blades. I managed to get it out, but it wasn’t easy.

KICA Jet Fan 2S vs KICA Jet Fan Max

Size comparison

Both are nicely build, but there’s a huge difference in price. $99 for Jet Fan 2S and Jet Fan Max is $219. Both are a bit expensive to be honest. If you need that raw power and don’t mind dht hefty build then Max is a good option. Otherwise I would recommend the Jet Fan 2S as it’s really portable, battery is fine, the power is more than enough for most cases (I wouldn’t use it to snow off a car maybe) if you want to replace a canned air at your home.
