While the price ranges of the G7 Pro and the Apex 5 are quite far apart, they are both flagship controllers from two of the most renowned and influential controller makers at the moment.
In this comparison, we’ll see which one is the right controller for YOU. I’ll discuss the features, the pros and the cons of each controller, so you can decide where to spend your hard earned money. This is part 2 of comparing flagship controllers.

– Xbox-style shape (wider, flared grips)

– Central pivot is kind of loose feeling and there is a significant amount of play out of the box.
– Accuracy is good and performance is good

– feels excellent and sounds crisp
– has a switch to lock these back buttons in place in case you don’t want accidental presses
– easier to accidentally press since they’re lighter and placed right where your finger goes
– Comfortable

A Few Personal Opinions…
I like both of these controllers a lot. They’re both well rounded controllers that feel great to use and offer a unique experience.
The GameSir G7 Pro is a well balanced controller with a feature set that will satisfy any basic user looking for a little extra to their controller. The Xbox certification bumps the price up a bit for just PC users, but it’s still a good value. If you want a reliable, consistent feeling controller, this one might be your pick. Especially so if you also need an Xbox controller.
The Flydigi Apex 5‘s adaptive triggers, adjustable tension sticks, the screen, etc. make it a unique controller like no other, and, in a way justifies the price tag. It is packed with features, and seems to be crafted more for an enthusiast than your average Joe. But do keep in mind that Flydigi has a history of unreliable QC. All five of my Flydigi controllers have been great, so I don’t have any personal experience with these issues.
If you want to experience the most feature packed controller experience available right now, then get the Flydigi Apex 5.
