I was recently sent new magnetic switches to test. They are made by TTC and named “TTC King of Magnetic“. These switches are compatible with Gateron Jade switches, meaning they should work with any keyboard designed for Gateron KS-20 switches, including Gateron Jades, Whites, and KS-20U dual rail models.
Examples of compatible keyboards with TTC King of Magnetic Switch:
- Wooting 60HE, Two HE, 80HE
- Keychron Q1 HE, Keychron K2 HE
- Varmilo Muse65 HE, Varmilo Victory 67
- Nuphy Field75 HE, ATK RS7, Melgeek Cyber01, IROK ND75, Backspace Oasis75, SIKAKEYB Castle HM66 and CK75 and others
Basically if the keyboard comes with Gateron KS-20 magnetic switches and is hot-swappable then the TTC King of magnetic switches will be compatible.
What makes these switches special?
The spring is much longer than in other magnetic switches, it’s 21 mm. For comparison, Gateron magnetic White has only 15 mm spring. Thanks to the longer spring, the pressing should be more elastic and the response could be quicker, but it’s honestly hard to measure these things.
The wobble on the stem is very minimal which is great.
The sound is quite distinct, a bit clacky, not too thocky. Here’s the sound test on Varmilo Muse65 HE keyboard:
The switches feel pretty great and you will definitely notice the spring lenght difference when using them.
They are also made to be completely dust proof.
