I was very happy with my Drunkdeer A75 Pro which I used as my main keyboard for a couple of months. Now, at the beginning of 2025 Drunkdeer has released two new magnetic switch keyboard A75 Ultra and A75 Master and I’m going to be reviewing the Ultra version.

Drunkdeer A75 Ultra comes in two versions which only differ in terms of stock switches:
You can use discount code HLPLANET for $10 off.
Both switches are linear with initial force of around 35-36+/-5gf and 3.4mm total travel and are factory lubed. I have the version with Gateron Jade Pro switches.
Here’s a video review with sound test, comparing the switches, A75Pro to Ultra and with Drunkdeer Antler new beta software.
What is new? A75 Ultra vs A75 Pro

In all of their previous keyboard Drunkdeer was using Raesha magnetic switches and they even got the silent version released which was quite unique. But this time the A75 Ultra is compatible with the most popular set of switches – the KS-20 standard which include Gateron Jade, Jade Pro, Jade Max, Jade Gaming etc and TTC switches to name a few.
Is this for the better? In general I like the Gateron switches a little bit better than the Raesha ones, the main downside of the Gateron lineup is the lack of a silent switch. The Genty magnetic switch was advertised as one, but it is a semi silent switch at best.

The keycaps are very good. Usually in magnetic switch keyboard you get average keycaps that you would like to change straight away, but this time the keycaps are really, really solid. The design is up for debate and subjective, but the build quality and how they feel when typing and gaming is really good.

The polling rate is 8000Hz now instead of 1000Hz and the latency is around 0.45 to 0.50 ms which is really, really good. It’s not 0.125ms as advertised but that would be the lowest latency possible with this polling rate and this is never the case. 0.5ms is better than Wooting 60HE or Nuphy Field75 HE. And justg shy of the 0.4ms latency of Wooting 80HE which is also 8000Hz polling rate keyboard.

As for beta version of Drunkdeer Antler software – it’s missing a few features that it had before like Mod Tap and setting of the macros. But the the main gaming settings like Rapid Trigger, RT Plus all work fine. And there’s this unique feature RT Match which apparently learns from users behaviour and sets the optimal RT settings for you.

Overall, this is a really good package. 0.5ms latency, great switches, very good sound profile, high quality keycaps, study plastic chassis. Only the web app is missing a few features. Aside from that I can definitely recommend this magnetic switch keyboard.
