Game Performance and Suitability
- GameSir G7 Pro: Recommended for competitive gamers who prioritize input precision, pro-level remapping, and need robust customization. Its excellent stick circularity and strong rumble motors make it stand out against boutique brands for both PC and Xbox gaming. Wired for Xbox; wireless model is coming soon, making it more versatile.
- GameSir G7 SE: The best mid-tier wired option for comfort and responsiveness. Suitable for both casual and competitive play, especially for users who do not need wireless. Its customizable faceplate and Hall sensor sticks offer premium features at a budget price. Great for RPGs, platformers, and racing games due to subtle rumble and fast performance.
- GameSir Cyclone 2: Ideal for users who want ultra-smooth TMR sticks and quick on-the-fly customization. The clicky button feel can be divisive but gives tactile feedback for fighting and FPS games. The simple paddle setup is reliable, but “power” users may wish for more paddles. Offers multiplatform support and more RGB/deadzone customization via PC software, though firmware update bugs should be checked.
Wired Gamesir G7 SE vs Xbox One controller
I returned my G7, so for now I only have Gamesir G7 SE and Xbox One controller to show side by side in photos. If you compare the Gamesir to a Xbox One gamepad then the main difference is that is feels a little bit more bulky (better for bigger hands) and the thumbsticks are much smoother in use, but also have a slightly worse grip in the middle.
- Versatile compatibility: supports Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One X/S consoles and PC Win10 and above (including the game platform Steam).
- Precise control: features Hall joysticks and Hall triggers for a comfortable feeling, long service life and improved game accuracy.
- 【Plug and Play Convenience】Wired USB connection (removable) for easy setup and instant play without the need for additional drivers.
- Customizable experience: Includes 2 custom backbuttons that allow users to eliminate false triggers and improve their gaming experience.
- Impressive gameplay: Provides a pulsating vibration trigger and an asymmetric vibration grip motor for intense tactile feedback.
Other alternatives for Gamesir G7 controllers
Gamesir had so much success with their G7 line that they released a couple more controllers in the series:
- Gamesir G7 HE – slightly improved G7 SE with mechanical micro switch buttons and dpad.
- Gamesir Nova Lite 2 – budget option at only $34.99, circural dpad, two back buttons, membrane buttons, PC wireless, 1000Hz polling rate
